Content Development Manager
Workforce Readiness - Content Production & Digital Studio
The Content Development Manager for the Workforce Readiness Content Production & Digital Studio team will work across the group and focus his/her efforts on the Information Technology (IT) discipline. The Content Development Managerwill focus on the successful development, planning, delivery, and support of IT content in current, legacy, and next generation solutions. The Content Development Manager will work closely with our Portfolio Management and Product Model Management on content planning needs for IT products. The Content Development Manager will then work closely with the Content Production and Digital Studio teams for IT on the development and execution of content solutions. The Content Development Manager will work closely with our authors, subject matter experts, development editors as well as vendors/partners to continuously improve our content as well as improve the processes to develop and deliver content.
The Content Development Manager is responsible for the following:
content planning and content development for selected print, digital, and supplement content for the Information Technology (IT) discipline.
partnering with our Portfolio Management group to assess content needs for products and devise content strategies and plans to facilitate the timely delivery and quality.
devise and improve content sourcing strategies to meet our content needs while helping to expand and improve our content provider pool while leading and improving the onboarding process.
formulate, implement, and revise our content authoring guidelines for our IT content.
apply content structure, enrichment standards, instructional design, and other compliance standards (e.g. accessibility) to our content.
work with our Content Production team and authors as well as development editors for Revel and eText 2.0 IT products.
guide authors and development editors to translate, develop, and execute static content into interactive content for Revel and eText 2.0 products.
work with our Digital Studio team on MyITLab content especially our Grader projects and Simulation activities.
work with Product Model Management to assess software and technical features, functionalities, and improvements for Grader and Simulation activities in MyITLab to promote content needs and process.
work with our Digital Studio team to investigate and resolve content-focused support issues for MyITLab.
manage the change control process, and impartially resolving process issues and bottlenecks, as applicable for current and developing processes.
communicate with teams and building processes that support content development and production workflow for legacy and next gen product.
support the delivery of efficacy requirements at product lifecycle stage gates in content development.
includes in program planning the addition of content metadata and ensures that content is sufficiently enriched and appropriately formatted to deliver efficacy analytics for high impact on learner outcomes.
